A few know, but… this week I left BeefJack. I’d been there for almost three years and was the longest contributing contributor. There are many varied reasons as to why I left and some are too personal to go into here.
However, one of the main reasons I left was that I wanted to free-up my time some more. Having a full-time job and being a carer (not by choice) means that I don’t have as much free time as I would like. I’m currently learning to drive and have several creative and writing projects in the works.
Like, I’m working a webseries with Paul. I want to put together and edit a comics anthology this year. And I want to finish writing Cure.
I also want to have more time to play videogames, watch films, read comics, exercise and see people – things that are difficult when juggling the above.
But I’m not completely stepping away from “geek” journalism. And hopefully in the coming months you’ll get to see how I like to do things.
