Canadians increasingly defrauded by fake tech support phone calls (via Naked Security)

This is highly relevant considering my recent brush with these sorts of phone scammers. Plus my Aunt (my friggin’ Aunt) got called by one of these scam groups only yesterday. Please people, make sure that your less tech savvy friends and relatives are aware that these calls will always be a scam. It’s not happening in just Canada – it’s happening everywhere.

Don’t hand out personal details and bank account information to just anyone over the phone. Please don’t. It’s almost always better to “err” on the side of caution. Please “err” please!
