Further to my previous rantishness on retail and concern about the situation in Truro… I get worried by stores that seem to permanently be in Sales mode.
I’m sure plenty of businesses are struggling to make a penny these days, but always having sales on instore? To me that just devalues the impact that having a sale can achieve. Reductions only look good if they’re not the norm.
Or, reductions only look good if you rotate what’s on offer. In the end, it’s all about image. A store that constantly has the same sale/reduction display is less likely to grab my attention.
